2

Color - Derwent Inktense Pencils were used. Alternatively any watercolor pencils, Watercolor set, or water soluble markers can be used. You will also need a paintbrush ( No 10 Round Brush) and container of water.

Colored Pencils such as Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell Polychromos, or similar for shading and depth.

4

Artist tape and a firm backing board or mat are recommended. Securing the paper before application of wet media helps to prevent warping.

Prepare Your Space

This practice works best when the space around you feels intentional, even if it is simple. A few things that can help:

  • A lit candle — as a quiet witness to the practice

  • A small bowl of water — which will also serve as your painting water

  • Soft ambient music if silence feels too large

  • Your materials within easy reach, not perfectly arranged

The preparation of your space is already the beginning of regulation.
